128 seems hot imo. it really sounds like the intercooler setup not up to task.Mine being a2a would put out 5-10 above ambient stop and go traffic. It would take a run up to in between 130-140 to get iat's up around 100.This is 11-12#s with 3.375" upper pulley stock lower 7.5".This is blower only no meth..

It gets a lot of engine heat with the IAT right in the aluminum tub. You can see it in between the 1st and second runners here.

My a/a turbo stuff was always 10* or so above ambient, and would hardly gain anything with the meth spraying. The freaky thing is with this setup, and a zeroed out IAT table, I can run 195kPa of boost, 21.5* of timing and 240* of IAT! With out any KR!

So would I need an aggressive cam to run a manifold 2.8 kb on a 4.8?

KB saw your efilive logs. At the the end of the run your IAT's are 241 degrees F. and 21 degrees of timing all the way through with no Knock Retard at that temp is quite impressive. Are you running race gas or meth?

Using my air intercooler I would be at least 150 degrees F lower on the same type of run with 94 octane. Not sure what that would equate to in HP gains since you are successfully running without any knock retard. Im impressed!

I bet you the IAT sensor is probably getting some heat soak and the temps at the middle of the intercooler may be a lot lower than at the edge of the tub.

Great info.

the 212-218 was excellent for my 6L, would probably work with your setup.

I was running 20% E85 with 91oct mix and about a 90% meth mix with a M14 and M5 nozzles
