The tial wastegate we have has too many things i think they just got confused anyways i will keep an eye on the install this time. the WG has 3 bottom ports and 2 upper ports so the line has to be connected to the bottom port and plugging the unused 2, leaving the top 2 vented

But seriously, that's a fancy wastegate! I'm assuming the water is for cooling?

Yup. I used a Mvr on the turbo jeep I put together. Real nice unit but a lot of extra crap lol. I did not run water to it. Jut called those ports

Hey post some pics of the four pistons it ate up. I'd like to see what my 4.8L will look like when i get my turbo kit installed. haha

Mini update here, we got a used engine from the junkyard and its up and running.

Here u go Jake, i expected complete carnage! the block, cylinder wall, rods and crank are in perfect condition so my brother decided to keep the old parts. All we need to do is buy new 5.3 pistons and we can reuse the old engine again.

looking at the log again the old engine went through 20 psi , 14-14.5 afr and 10-14 degrees of knock.. ouch! i made sure the boost is stable this time running 9-10 psi ill take a few videos of it soon
