JFR Triple 12 is a beast!!!!

Now its not a truck but i figured i would share my experience here because Jarrett does a lot for this site as well as many others. Me and a few of my friends built an ls swapped 63 Rambler classic 660 a couple of years ago and turbo charged it last year. It was fun to say the least but it wasn't quite what I thought that it should be. So this winter I decided it needed a cam and new converter. I looked at so many different cams and spoke with all the major players in the turbo cam market. I settled on a JFR cam because his **** just works. So I finally got everything buttoned up this last weekend on the car and I am absolutely in love with the car now. It used to be kind of lazy coming into boost but its completely night and day difference after the cam, and it pulls so much harder than before even on less boost. I still have a little left to do on the tune but man is this thing a beast now. I would recommend anything Jarrett specs to anyone on the fence about what cam to buy. A few specs on the car 01 5.3 175k sbe pac 1218s, ebay studs, deka 80# injectors, JFR 3x12, 4L80e, ptc 3200 stall, efi live, 68/83 s400 in a t6 .90 housing with a long and over sized hotside. Thanks again to Jarrett for answering all my questions and helping with some tuning advice. Your the man.

I have had the Triple 12 in my truck for about a year NA. It is a great cam for those who want great low end torque before you put a turbo on. I have been doing little things over the years to prepare for a turbo, and this is definitely a great cam for daily driving. You can tune it to have a decent lope, or make it sound almost completely stock.

Jarrett would have to chime in on that but people use it in 6.0 stuff with good results. I would think maybe his 218/218/112 would be a good shot in the 6.2. No i didnt change rocker arms or push rods but used pac 1218 springs.

Makes sense.... cams dont seem to really make a huge difference once in boost... so yeah i would want a smaller cam to pull when out of boost or keep alot of lowend.. i ran a 216/216 cam for the very same reason..Jarret knows his stuff and doesnt go on the "cool" new thing but on real world experience.. but this IS a forum and guys will always want to try to run 240 duration cams in 4.8's...and whatever the new thing that is king.
