Default I've got the bug...

and now I want to run an 8 lb. pulley. I've currently got the Kenne Bell with the stock 6 lb. I haven't heard back from KB as to whether they'll sell me one (not offered on the website), but ASP says they can make me one. I won't be putting it on until I've got the water/alky injection on and tuned. I have two questions, if y'all don't mind:

1. They can do aluminum or steel. Aluminum takes longer, but I'm in no rush. Which is better?

2. Is the size of the pulley that much different? Will I need a smaller belt?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

1, i would get wich ever is cheaper. if they are the same get the aluminum. all the pullys i have seen have been aluminum.

2, you might need a shorter belt and you might not. just have to give it a try. when i needed a shorter belt i just took the old one down to NAPA and asked for the same belt but 1" shorter and they hooked me up.

while you are at it you might as well get a 10psi pully too, the meth should take you that high

Thanks for the info, Parish8. My truck is a little long in the tooth, so I'm kinda scared to go any higher than 8 lbs, probably should just stick to 6 but I CAN'T. And once I have the 8 on there and really like it...

Anyway, turns out KB will sell me the 8 for a lot cheaper than ASP so I ordered it. They claim I won't need a smaller belt, so we'll see.
