Default Intercooler or Meth Help

I am looking to get a little more out of my Powerdyne. I am not sure which route to take. What are the benfits of each in relation to cost, fabrication, performace gains?

I currently am at 8psi with 44lb injectors, and dont want to kill the blower bearings, so looking at the timing and tune now. Any help, guidance, or experance would be great.

Best thing would be to be to intercool it, once this is done then tunning will also help out.

I'd also vote for intercooling it first. Meth will help if you're close to maxing out your injectors or if you're getting knock, but it would be best to cool the air charge before all of that.

Put the IC on you will only lose about 1-2 psi. and maybe 50 shot of nitrous IMO. HSW has a great deal on the kit. Your gonna burn up the bearings and shred the belt it's just a matter of time if you have the BD-11A unit and decide to run anything over 9 psi. or run it hard at the track. But it's not all bad news you can order the ceramic bearings and Kevlar belt to beef up a bit. If you're looking to keep up with the crowd better upgrade the head unit and take care of the tranny first. It only took me a couple months after I put mine in to destroy both!

With your limits on blower/psi I would recommend water/meth kit. The intercooler you will loose boost pressure and the only way to make it up is to turn the blower harder. Now all w/m kits are the same, some use varable pump speeds and orifices to controll the flow. I like the FJO units, tuneability and smooth control and a very fine mist which aids in cooling greatly. If you flood the water/meth to soon, too much, or too big of dropplets you loose power.
What IAT's are you running now?

I know we have spoke about this a hundred times, but on a non-intercooler setup, what is the actual temp benefit of a particualr sized meth jet? Or water? Short of putting the meth/water inj ON the IAT sensor. Trick you bring up a good point of pressure loss, but I can't imagine at that power level any meth/water kit making a substantial difference. SUBSTANTIAL is my arguement here, substantial enough to say no to an intercooler.

In all of the time that I have had an intercooler, it has yet to go empty, leak, or break down and ruin my engine.
