Intake piping

Has anbody used aluminized exhaust pipe with an STS kit and bent it with an exhaust bender. Is there really that much of a difference in mandrel bends and aluminum piping?

There is no aluminum pipe in my STS kit it is all coated mild steel. The aluminized pipe with non mandrel bends will work but it will look junk yard and the pipe will not flow quite as well.
