The DEI titanium wrap is fine if you never touch it after installation but chances are you will eventually have to take the hot parts off for some reason. Just removing the down pipe will put thousands of fiberglass particles in the air, on your arms and in your lungs .... You will also destroy the wrap if you need to remove it for some reason (weld in an o2 bung, etc). We have had this stuff on two different trucks but we didn't spray the wrap like some people did. The last time I had the DP off I replaced the wrap with the Jegs brand and it seems to be doing fine.

If I remember right I bought a 2" x 100' and 1" x 25' roll. I used the 1" roll on the log manifold only to get where the 2" couldn't (between the primaries and around the o2 sensor bung). Then went over the top of it with the 2" to get all of the bare spots. Also, if you do it this way don't get the wrap on the primaries to thick or it will be hard to get your plug wires off/change plugs. You can't see in the picture but I have hose clamps on each of the primaries right next to the exhaust flange.

ive been using the cheap stuff from frozen boost, it works.
i recommend soaking the stuff in water before using it. it helps keep it out of your hands/arms.
use leather gloves and a good long sleeve, that stuff sucks to work with haha.

plus i used stainless .032"? saftey wire, it works great! get some twisting pliers and i added a wire ever 6" or so just to keep it tight.

....and she told me the same thing!.....anyhoo...quite a variety of likes and dislikes. Appears that application is key and wetting the product helps. So, since PTP is in Austin; I'll prolly get some Lava Wrap and a Regular Silicone impregnated Fiberglass type blanket from them. And will also ask them about customer feedback to see if I am on the right track.

Anyone wrapping his headers up wear some gloves, damn fibers dig deep into your skin lol.

nonnieselman I though soaking it would add extra flexibility ?
