importance of gauges
what is a more important gauge to have on a radix'd tow vehicle
it will already have boost and an interceptor scan gauge and wideband AFR
fuel press.

EGT (pyrometer)

I run a boost, egt, and fuel press gauge now. I will be running a wideband soon. But I like to run a egt gauge because FI will create heat. Fuel pressure is always a must IMO. Everyone knows what not enough fuel will do, and i just like to make sure that my fuel pressure is ok.

I dont see the use of the EGT gauge on a Radix truck.
AFR gauge is a must IMO
Fuel pressure is a must as well.
Boost gauge is fun to have but not that critical. The only reason I have one is to make sure my AFR dips into the 11's when I get into boost.
If you dont have a cluster with a tranny temp guage, I would suggest one of those.

i think i will be covered as far as fuel because of a walbro 255lph and 8.1L marine injectors and i wont have meth
i only have room for one of them im gettin the socal diesel overhead gauge pod with an interceptor scan gauge in one spot and a SPA techniques dual gauge - i can get either boost/egt or boost/fuel press. - and i will have a wideband where the airbag switches were

i have a denali cluster so i have the tranny temp under control
remember this is a tow vehicle thats the only reason i asked about the egt because i searched and it has been covered that it is not needed in a non-towing/street-driven cruiser but i thought that with it being in boost alot it might need the egt to to monitored

I have a tow vehicle, boost, Intercepter, and EGT's. I thought I would need a EGT reading while towing as well. It was a waste of my $$$. Gauge is almost pinned on every long hill towing my 9,000 lb fifth wheel. Even empty and pulling long hills it gets to 1450*. Max is 1600*. I would just leave the tune up to a known professional, or yourself if done lots before, and ignore EGT readings. Unless exhaust is thought to be too small, or AFR goes out of wack, EGT will be good(high anyways). Just my opinion.
