You melted a plastic elbow? How close was it to your exhaust.?

melted the elbow from the heat of the compressor housing. It just got hot and started to get all out of shape on the ends so I took it off.

 

and crickets... Put an elbow on the turbo inlet or should I be looking at intercooler cores?

 

Your only gaining 22* in boost. I'd say your intercooler is fine, you need to lower the temp of the air going into the turbo. You can't suck hot air and then expect to cool it off very much.

 

IM cutting a hole in the hood then

 

Stock48 took a stock headlight and cut the high beam out and then made a flex hose and funnel to fit the opening out of PCV so he gets ram air strait into the turbo. He thinks it's worth about 2-3mph on his setup.
