Did you noticed any response delay using the closed element over an open?

 

Actually no, I tried a side by side comparison between the 2 styles with maybe a 1/2 degree variance at the most

 

I just went to napa and bought one for a cyclone and the pigtail to go with. Napa had it all in stock.

It's threaded copper looking with an element and little plastic cage around the element.

 

Just looked at the gm open element link. That's the same one I have but from napa.

 

Just bought this little bad boy, still need help on HPtuners side. I search around HP forums and didnt really turn up anything. What needs to be disabled to completely remove the maf?

I know there is something because I've unplugged mine before and it went into REP under throttle. Could be it just needs a AIT signal, but not 100% sure.

 

On efi live you set the Maf to fail. Hpt should have a write up. It's how you should tune the ve

 

Set the fail to 0 Hz, and let it set 1 of the following codes (P0101, P0102, P0103).
