just re-read your post and it looks like your just pulling the IAT sensor out of the MAF. You should do a continuity test to see which wires go where if you can not see them to trace it out.

Ok now I'm confused. lol the 2 colors stated early look like the correct ones from the schematic I found for the MAF. And the sensor is just one out of a camaros air box, need to find a plug, think I have one laying around the shop.

Black and tan are the correct colors, but by the way your post reads, you are saying you dont know what colors go where on the actual sensor. If you cant visualy trace them out, you need to do a continiuty test. Not trying to confuse you.....

hey I confuse myself A bunch so it easy to do.
check it out, the colors are good. I picked up the new air sensor from out back in the shop. So I do not have the pigtail from the car just a new IAT sensor. My thinking is that it should not matter which terminal on the new sensor I put the tan or the black on.
Will thats my thinking away.

Thanks for all the help.
By the way, does your new IC work well.

Yep, the IAT doesn't care which wire go's where, it just changes resistance with different temps. It's not directional

Changed my post since I mentioned a nonsponsor site. PM for details or do a search under my name cause I posted about doing the same thing a couple months ago. Found a harness that will move the IAT sensor without having to cut and splice the wires.
