Can you explain the cold side flip kit with the 475? Is it absolutely necessary?

 

With the S400 downpipe kit we also include a small adapter for the cold side as the S400 turbos come with a v-band discharge, our adapter will bolt to the v-band exit and adapt to connect to the cold side via a coupler.

Gotcha, so those of us who want an s475 will HAVE To spring for the flip kit addition.

 

I am unsure what you mean by flip addition, however the S400 turbos have a 4" exit and require a 4" downpipe. With the downpipe needed for that turbo we include the cold side adapter setup with it. Hope this helps!

 

Sorry, I guess what I am trying to ask is if I pick the s475 do I have to add the $500 add on for the downpipe and cold side addition? Just confused. Sorry. Lol

 

if you want to have a downpipe that bolts up to your turbo then yes. The s400 is a mid frame T4, much larger turbo with a 4” downpipe exit, therefore the standard 3” downpipe in the kit will not work with this upgraded, larger turbo. We offer an upgraded full 4” downpipe for it that you will want to add in if you desire to run this turbo and have exhaust that will bolt right up to it.

 

Thank you, glad that's cleared up, sorry I was having issues understanding everything last night. Is there any reason the 03-07 final purchase is saying out of stock? I have tried refreshing the link and noticed the others are working.
