How much boost is possible
#11
Search works fine in Firefox. I don't know why they won't get the stupid bugs fixed in IE.
As stated above. there are a LOT of factors that determine your boost. Do you have a 327 Gen 1 engine or a 5.3 (325) Gen III? Do you want your 4l60e to blow up as soon as you get in the throttle the first time?
Street driven? Reliable?
Stock engine? Cam size? Truck weight? Gears? Heads? Turbo or Super?
It's much easier to tell us What you want to do and what your willing to install to get there.
With a question of how much is Possible. Well, stock 7 +- depending on how heavy the truck is, Build it up and you can see into the mid 20's or more.

I think you misunderstood. The 99's had Vortech, not Vortec. Go look closer at your engine. There is a factory installed supercharger hiding between the fan shroud and fuse box. It’s small, only designed for about 4 psi, but it’s there.

Lmfao at this thread...... Right before it blows up, stop turning it up...
Just max out your boost controler, should put you in the 16 pound range, throw about 10.5 :1 fuel at it, with 20 deg. Of timing.... Should put you in the 698-700 range....

Since you can't search, here is a link to a thread that explains it all:
