Turbo or Supercharger?
What cam do you have in mind? E85 or Gasoline? Meth injection? Mileage on the shortblock? |

That's why I was thinking some stock 317 heads. I see that people boost LQ9's so with stock CR I should be in better shape.
With stock 317s and LQ9 pistons, your CR will be 10.1:1. The most you can probably safely run will be 12-13 psi, assuming: meth, no FMIC, awsome in person / dyno tune. I'd run 10psi personally and have some fun. You could always have the heads opened up a bit, but running the flattops will always be the limiting factor. |

You will need to run 317's to do any boost at all.

I figured 10psi would be good with stock 317's BUT that doesn't give me any room to grow down the road:cry: |
If you want more you're having the chambers opened up and/or swapping pistons... Just reality with flat tops.

10:1 6.0 + Ported heads + FAST intake + good cam + good flowing turbo(s) + 11psi = 800rwhp...
Quiks twin turbo silverado on 11psi = 767.7rwhp - YouTube |
i would look into maybe tradin your lq9 shortblock for an lq4 shortblock, but keep your arp rod bolts. so you don't have to do the work of swapping pistons
