Over that and you get into beefing up everything on the drivetrain plus higher stall converters. I'm running a stock converter....turbos can't do that and hope to keep up. When you get into power levels over 500 and race only apps, you get into a whole 'nother arguement.
Very nicely put.

It really boils down to what you want out of your truck and how you want that power to "feel"

If you are ever in Cali I will take you for a real ride Dont let the darkside fool you, there is plenty of power to be made with The Magna Charger if you know what you are doing.

I have done both. First I had the Radix and it was extremely reliable. Made good power and the tq curve was crazy. I was hitting 1.8 60' times. Problem was it was too small for the 6.0 with a 3.0 pully I was getting 8# when it wasnt slipping the belt. It also made a crap load of heat and would fall off on the top end.

I swapped over to turbo, and with a gt72 at 11# was hitting 2.0-2.1 60' but was alot faster. That was with an extremely rich tune that was hurting power. 10:1 AFR. The power delivery is completely different. Both setups have their pros and cons. The turbo is more maintenance, and has had more problems than the Radix did, but the turbo has alot more potential.

My truck on 9.5psi is just flat nasty. Stomp the go pedal at anything under 40mph results in instant tire smoke. I'm sure just about any turbo truck will do the same........it just may take a little longer.
