ok guys i have at least 2.5k to blow on this i have search and search but nothing..........a kid from skool says that my 4.8 anit worht for **** so its time to get things right his mods that i seen are 5.0 engine i/h/e unfortinely he has nos in that ****. I need the most help before i get tired of hearing him all the time in class.........my 4.8 is completly stock do i even have a chance??????

2.5k is probably not going to do it, unless there are
some of the Rouch tvs units left.

what year is your bud's Mustang?

 

Buy a Lq9 from the local JY for 1k and put a cam in it. Then all you will have to do is plant the right foot and wave by lol.

Most 5l Mustangs run 15.0-16.0s around here.

Welcome to the forum. Actually it might not be so hard to do. Mod your intake, headers, muffler, nitrous kit, tuning. Should be able to do all for less than $2500 and at least make a respectable showing.

 

Buy a 6 liter and a nitrous kit and drag radials. Thats under 2500 and will smoke his car.

 

what is your truck? rcsb, ecsb - 2wd or 4wd? what tranny? these things will determine alot. You need some spray on your truck. get a big converter, some gears and 100 shot and see what that does for ya. maybe a 6.0 swap and then some spray. tell us what you have to work with.

sorry mines an 2003................but i whent to a shop they told me they would upgrade the trans for 1500 something about overhaul level 1......................\

what kind of gears ,,,,, conveter..............what nos kit to use it would do alot of harm to trannss and enigne? am new to the go fast stuff

Throw on some longtube headers, exhaust and a cam, convertor and a little nitrous and then go see Charlie Wheatley for a custom tune in Katy/Houston area gowheatley.com and you should have no problems with that car. I just sold my 95 mustang, it had full bolt ons, heads, cam, everything. My truck runs mid 14s and couldnt keep up with that car, but for just an intake exhaust mustang, for what you have to spend you should be able to beat it no problem. Or you could just get it tuned for some nitrous and throw a 150 shot on it and should handle that car.
