It really broke my heart to cut apart my KB Racing log, but I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. I cut the flange off and welded on a spool valve I made from scratch. I can't wait to get it on the truck to see how it performs. It is fully opened around 12 PSI.

TKS. Yeah it just barely touches when it is closed. It also barely touches when it is opened. I put the stop there so that I could wire it opened and closed for testing. BTW it is all 304 stainless.

I meant with nothing happening what's its default point. Closed or open.

 

Default is closed. It is closed with intake vacuum, and starts to open around 7 PSI. It is fully opened around 11 PSI.

 

Awesome! Where did you get that valve/solenoid? Can you adjust the pressure it opens at?

 

Tks. It is a universal wastegate valve from ebay that sells for $40. They are adjustable according to the specs, but I am not sure how to do it yet. I would really like to make something to let it instantly open at a certain pressure. Like closed at 10 PSI, and opened at 11 PSI.

 

Add a solenoid and hobb switch.
