Belt is routed incorrectly. Needs to come off the water pump, then to the tensionr, not off the crank pulley.

Maybe your belt is to long?? Just a guess...

Did you route your belt like this? The back side of the belt should not be facing the tensioner.

You need to route the belt around the crank and water pump just like in this pic.

Yep, Like AK said its improper belt routing. Also why is your tensioner pointing up towards the 1:00 psoition?? It should be closer to 3:00.

Looks like your problem has been solved. It definitely looks like its routed wrong.

Actually AKlowrider's belt is routed wrong and so is anyone's that is routed that way.

that tensioner can also be set differently by holes in that aluminum spacer....that will bring it to the correct position also

The tensioner assembly mounts to a bracket, there is a pin on one and a hole on the other. There are two holes, I would venture to guess the original poster has his in the upper hole causing the tensioner to sit that way, remove the bolt that holds the tensioner in place and check the location of the pin. If there is two holes move it to the hole to the right.
