Do I need a blow off valve and a waste gate for an automatic truck with a sts turbo?

YEs!!!!!! wastegate is mandatory.... taht is what regulates how much pressure the turbo creates by bypassing the exhaust gas around turbo...

And the blowoff i would definitely reccomment it keeps flow fromreversing back into the turbo when you close your throttle....

if you dont have a blowoff you will destroy your turbo..

if you dont have a wastegate you will detroy everything

You don't necessarily need a bov, but its recommended. The sts/garrett turbos are designed to handle the tubo surge when lifting. The bov saved at least one guy I know that lives in MA. The condensation in the vac/boost lines at the wg froze and he had no stopping the boost. His bov saved his engine.

The sts kits come standard with the wastegate. Its not an option. That's how turbos work and regulate boost.
