When i first did the system, i had the magnaflow 3" spun metallic cats on the collectors, then an x pipe with twin mufflers mounted after then...mounted on edge. ran that back to the bumper with dumps. it was loud, but not bad.

my dipshit tuner had things royally fucked up and melted 2 sets of cats from being too rich. thats a whole different story.

took out the cats...and it was way too loud. added the second set of mufflers behind the bumper and single exits either side of the license plate.

its better now, but still too loud for my tastes..plus it stinks.

found some 100 cell/inch metallic cats...just ordered them. the magnaflows are 300 cell/inch so the new ones will flow even more.

my tune is finally dialed so hopefully this will be the winning combo.

the spun metallic cats are available with different density cores. It is measured in cells per inch (cpi). Just about everything out there is 300 cell (magnaflow, ebay, random tech, slp, etc...). I found these from a race shop in oregon. Random tech has 100 cell race cats, but they are about 250 each iirc.

I thought I read on here a while back that guys were burning up spun metallic cats when running Maggies. Ever heard that? Unless it was 1 of your threads or 1 you replied to.
