Cool, thanks man. I'm gonna do the exaust manifold studs as well! Drivers side just started leaking.... Broken bolt right by the firewall, so I'm gonna yank the heads off next weekend and fix it, prolly gonna go ahead and delete the AFM while I'm doing it.... Just need to get a cam

Yeaaaa.... I've heard they were garbage! The trucks done okay at 8-9psi though. I'm gonna order a whole cam kit this week maybe from tick. I was gonna wait until I put this ly6 370 in, but I'm just gonna go ahead and do it.

I looked up remflex too but I didnt like how they werent reusable, these are reusable. They are seal 4 good, taylor wires makes them.

I tried putting it in yesterday and I mustve fought the manifold for at least hour and a half trying to get all the holes lined up, the two end holes never want to line up with eachother on the manifold its either one or the other. Im considering taking it off and making the holes a little bigger or elongating them. I mean I may aswell since I unhooked the downpipe and crossever already, last time I changed the gasket I didnt have to do that

These are the part numbers I used to use. May have been superceeded in the last couple of years.

The thread in the heads is M8x1.25 in case anyone is wondering

I ended up using a napa stud kit after trying to fight the manifold for hours to line up. I had to elongate the holes on the ends cause it warped that much i guess. So I get it all together not a single leak its prefect. Next day I do a first and second gear romp and I start driving again and its ticking like a ****. So I either blew out the gasket or melted through it cause all the studs are still there....

So Im going to try to find a place to machine my manifold. If not ill have to try to straighten it the best i can my self...

Im wondering could I grind off the old flange and put a 1/2 one on there?

If I can the flange is only $40 thats looking really good right now, although im not gonna be home for another 2 weeks and theres a guy at my work thats an awesome welder that would do it for cheap. So id be screwed in the meantime

I had problems with gaskets going out so i pulled out the cutoff wheel and cut the flange right between cylinder 4 and 6. I had used the seal4good gaskets and blew both of them out then used a oem gasket with a split flange and no problems. BTW GM split the manifold flange years ago.

I just ordered 15 of each through gm parts direct.... Cost me $64.50 total. Not too bad, the dealership wanted $130.00 for 12 of each
