studs would be nice for pulling the heads in the future since coolant wouldnt flow into the bolt holes, but bolts are cheaper and work great. ive never heard of somoene pulling 1 at a time and replacing it, but i dont see any harm in it.

Foose04 is running the ls9 gaskets and imo is pushing it pretty hard. Also many have been north of 800rqhp on stock bolts so in this build I'd say they're perfectly fine.

Thanks, that's good to know. Sounds like bolts will be fine, if I can find any.....

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around using the LS9 gaskets though.

Roger, I have a set of Cometic MLS gaskets that would work for you I think. I put Cometics and copper spray on my build with studs and so far not a drip of anything after 3500 miles. I trust these things. I can measure the bore diameter if you're interested.

Yeah, lemme know. Send me the part number too, thanks.

Have you had your beast to the track yet, or are you still getting it dialed in?

How much boost are you planning on throwing at it?

Gonna bump the compression a bit with some 4.8 liter pistons, and see how that does. I also recently aquired this for cheap, so I might try it out.
