Default Happy with Radix, Not happpy with shifting.

New guy here. I just installed a radix on my 05 GMC Sierra 4wd crewcab. Very happy with the performance boost but I'm looking to maximize what I have.

When I get on it, the shift from 2nd to 3rd seems like a clutch slipping in my old stick shift Honda. Is this what its supposed to feel like or do I need to upgrade my transmission some how?

I'm looking for any recommendations or suggestions as to what direction or upgrades I should consider.

Thanks and great site!!!!

Just toi be safe u shud talk with Mag and have them dbl check the tune they sent u. I put a shift kit and Corvette servos in mine and it shifts nice and solid/smooth...gives u a bit of a jolt into ur seat when it shifts. Look for BlownChevy on here. R/

sounds like your feeling the two step shift, or what feels like a two step shift. If this is the case, I don't know if you'll ever be able to get rid of it completely with the 4l60e, if thats what you have.

most people put a shift kit in the tranny to prevent the clutches from slipping.

You should definatly should install a Transgo shift kit and Vette servos. Mines been fine and I must have atleast 20 passes down the 1/4 mile. I didnt install any of the washers that cause it to shift hard You dont want it to bang hard with the Radix.

Is there any advantage to getting a different tune from Nelson or Westers or someone else?
