Pick an intercooler that is just slightly above your horsepower goals. Too big will give pressure loss, slower spool up, and greater turbine pressures to acheive your desired psi which can hurt your power more than help it. Thickness needs to be moderate, but not excessive as the drag coefficient goes up as thickness increases. A intercooler with 35 sq. in of internal flow area will support 700 cfm of flow. You calculate internal flow area this way. (internal flow area = Channel length x channel width x number of channels.) Most intercoolers have only a 45% availibilty of flow through the cores. What are your hp goals and what turbo?

I see the ac condensor or radiator? there but somthing is wrong. wonder what year and engine that truck is. The ac on my old 02 and this new 07 is really close to that support bracket. see pick. That would be a sweet spot to put one.

EDIT my top post. You shoved everything back to make it fit. Damm your ac line are rusty. must have alot of salt in your area. Nice Fab work to get that in there. So is that a 4" or 3" thick core.

Sorry, I'm so egotistic that I think that everybody knows the intimate details of my I/C install. I made brackets and used electric fans to move the radiator back about 2 1/2 inches. I moved the condenser back as far, and installed the I/C between the condenser and the hood latch support. I cut and capped the discharge of the Whipple, and fabricated a right-facing discharge. I made a new left-facing intake elbow, and piped the I/C in.
My temperatures are similar to 03sierraslt's, so my intercooler is probably too big. Except what does that mean, since I have no throttle lag?
Anyway, I'm sure that it will be capable of more boost, except the blower isn't.
The guy on eBay gave me a discount if he could use my pictures. I kept telling him it wasn't finished, but he didn't care. Real nice guy, by the way, if anybody is thinking of buying from him.

You got the #14 post in while I was writing #15. Thanks, and it's a 4" core. And, yes, the damn salt.
