Ok I'm looking for a cam for my 2009 sierra Denali it has 2.3 Whipple on it I've purchased two cams first one is
219 / 229 .550/.550 lsa 114
Second is
Gt9 215/247 .629/.656 121 CL
I'm leaning towards the gt9 what do you guys think

I'd sell them both and get Pat G to fit one to your rig. That crazy big exhaust lobe and super wide LSA of the GT9 just doesn't seem right to me. A cam change is a PITA and I wouldn't go to the trouble for a swap to a cam that might be close. You can get one custom made with Pat's specs for under $400 shipped. A 218/230 LXL lobed cam on a +/-117 lsa would work great in your rig. About the same overlap as the GT9 so manners should be similar. I'd bet the bottom end would be stronger with similar top end as long as you had LT headers and free flowing exhaust. Your valve springs would like you a whole lot better too

LS9 cam has a 230ish duration exhaust lobe with .550 lift. GT9 cam is 247 duration exhaust with .656 lift. That's similar? You can use Chevy cheap yellow springs with the LS9 cam. You better have some damn good (read that high dollar) springs with the GT9 cam.

If I remember right the GT9 got discontinued from one manufacture, bc the LS9 was so similar with 1/4 of the price and the ability to run yellows.

I think you're confusing the GT9 with the GT2-3. The GT9 is still available. You don't even have to go through Lingenfelter to get one. It's just a Comp Cam that uses their high lift LSK lobes. You can order it direct from Comp or go through any Comp Cams dealer.
