Default GT11 cam on L92 with 2300 Maggie?

I came across this cam. What's the opinion on the combo? L92 with CNC LS3 heads, and a 2300 Maggie. Would I notice much of anything switching to the GT11 cam from my current cam(224/230 .609/.612 116+2). Thanks

The GT11 would eat up valve springs quicker and would have a smoother idle and be easier to tune. If you didn't have a TVS2300 on top, it would have more low end power. With a TVS, you won't have issues with lack of low end pull

Decisions, decisions. So if I stayed N/A it would be rougher on the valve train, but have better street manners and more TQ than what I have?

Would there be any power gains with the GT11 when I do install blower?(might be my 2900 to test out).

Btw I hear YOU might be going the whipple route?

Nothing wrong with the GT11 cam other than it uses Comp's LSK lobes. Crazy high lift that's needlessly hard on springs. If you like those specs, you can have the exact same cam ground on Comp's newer design, and easier on valve springs, LSL lobes. Same specs, just a more stable lobe with a little less lift. If you call Comp tomorrow and ask for a custom spec recommendation, I'll bet you just about anything you care to lose, that they won't spec you a cam with LSK lobes.

I ran a 215/227 116 with LSL lobes under a TVS2300 for quite a while and liked it. Wanted something bigger....stupid me. Wished I still had that cam. The GT11 won't give you any power gains over your 224/230. Smaller gets you better manners and fuel eco. Bigger is better (up to a point) on the dyno.

Still investigating the Whipple 2900 swap on my vette. We'll see.

I'm not set on the GT11 cam, but I do own it now lol. I guess I need to stop buying parts, engines, and blowers and just finish the damn blower install.

I guess the GT11 will be for sale soon

Hell, if you have it, run it. Just don't skimp on the v'springs. It's not quite as bad as the GT9 that everyone drools over. That one has the same intake lobe along with a honkin' .650+ lift exhaust lobe. The GT9 will get you a better dyno number. The GT11 will get you down the road faster. A custom spec cam can do both better.....and still be kind to your valvetrain
