Thats what i thought!!! WOW!! iI wrapped mine and have yet to do a boosted launch, ............

 

I had most of a 50' roll and I bought another, so I'd say I used about 90'. Came about 2" short of the flange on one side of the y-pipe, so 100' should be enough, but I don't have any cats in my y-pipe. To be fair on the 9-10 psi launch, I had just made a 6-7 psi launch and 1/4 run on the interceptor scangage (14.17@95) and drove about 4 miles and did the 10psi launch and 1/4 run (13.76@98), everything was pretty hot, but I've never been able to build boost like that before I wrapped the pipes. It was 80* outside and I'm at 4800ft elev.

Na... probable only took an hour to an hour and a half to wrap the whole thing on the truck.

Nope . The stock part is SS and IF the rest of it rots out, it will take 3-4 years at least I would think. I think I can afford to put pipes on it that often .

 

Thanks for the great pics KB, You Are Officially dubbed the STS wrapping test pilot! LOL . I only wrapped from the flange behind the cats, i probably should wrap the cat- y pipe next. BTW, what brand and where to get that trans pan/ with Drain???

The trans pan came from the factory with the plug, but good luck getting it out!! It striped with a 6 and 12 point socket and then I put a pair of vicegrips on it as tight as I could till it started to crush the head and it still wouldn't budge. lucky for me you can drop the pan on these with out draining the fluid and not make a mess. One of these days, when I have it off, I'm going to weld a nut on to it and see if I can budge it with that. I'm thinking its loctighted and the heat will release the locktight.

 

kb, one time i tried to get that drain plug out of my trans pan and did the same thing, but i started with visegrips and all i did was crush the head and when i pulled on it it just slipped around and stripped it.
