I am over in shady hollow right now, just down the street. I will take you for a ride when I get the truck out of the shop. I blew up my torque converter and it pretty much littered the trans with debris so I am waiting for my new trans to arrive.

That truck is good for 12.50s all night long in good weather at 106-107mph, it would take alot more then a tune to keep up with him

Im going to have my bike back together here shortly I need to find out where everyone meets up to ride.

Have you guys ran it 2wd with slicks, vs 4wd with street tires? That's fast for a NA 5.3 4x4. Just curious what running 4wd robs over 2wd with street slicks.

On the street with street tires in 4hi its all over the road due to tq steer in the front. On the track it wheel hops BAD.

It sounds good though..

Well from what I hear your buddies camaro wasnt exactly stock, I wouldnt expect him to keep up with a car that traps what he does stock. Ive been trying to convince him to put the hose on it but he wont he is a pansy. Supposedly he is going to change up a few more things on it to get another mph or two out of it and drop a couple tenths, we will see. Where does everybody meet up to ride at? My bike is slow so no racing for me, I just enjoy cruising.

I really wanted to build a NA RC Z71, but up hear in co a 12.5 truck will run high 13's. I really think at sea level a good NA 408 could run 11's in a Rc 4x4, and still be streetable. Mid 12's NA out of a 5.3 4x4 is impressive.

Trucks are at a big disadvantage running cars on the street from a roll. From a roll In my NA mid 11 sec 70 chevy 4x4, I have lost to a lot of modded Fbodys on the street that I KILL bad at the track. Not many people realise just how much power it takes to push a lifted 4x4 down the track, but I do. Same engine that trapps 115MPH @ 11.50 in my lifted 70 4x4, ran 10.0's @ 132 in a 3450LB 1970 camaro. That was on a shitty track with only 3 runs. Would have gone 9's if we would have gotten to dile it in. People see that truck driving all around to and from the track on pump gas and it just doesn't get the respect it deserves.
