Approx. US currency of course

$2000 LSX block(thank you mark
)$2000 Heads (strongly recommend WCCH)
$370 COMP cam shaft
$500 Set of good forged pistons
$160 Piston Rins (Hellfire)
$500 Connecting Rods
$80 Main Bearings
$80 Rod Bearings
$225 Roller lifters
$125 Double Roller Timing set
$100 Push rods
$200 Head Gaskets
$400 ARP head and main studs (A MUST)
$400 Intake
$375 Rocker assembly
$250 100mm Throttle body
$1500 for random misc parts such as oil pump, adapter harnesses, plugs, wires, coils, etc...
$1000 Fuel pump and 72lbs. injectors
$500 Crankshaft
= $10,765 TOTAL for a LSX built engine. (this is nothing more than a rough guess)
$5,000 for a tranny*
$4,000 for a Trick Turbo**
$19,765 total cost (I overestimated/round up on a most items)
*Price is for a Heavy duty automatic. I don't know enough to help you out concerning the manual transmission but can GUARANTEE you that your stock one will have to be upgraded at those power numbers. And I might be mistaken but manual trannies are cheaper to strengthen than automatics.
**Not sure what a Trick costs because their site was down but you won't need twins, that might be overkill.
DISCLAIMER: I am not an engine builder, however Brian@JPA is and could tell you much more than I ever could and has been doing this much longer than I have. He also knows the best builders and suppliers so your already in good hands having talked to him. I also didn't include supporting mods like a rear-end, axles, suspension, brakes, exhaust, etc...

Figure Parish's twin turbo 408 @ 20psi netted him 1000+ rwhp. If you were to build a 434 or greater, your boost would determine your insanity level and therefore your power level. Anyways, I'm off my soapbox! Hope this helps you get on your way but 20K - 25K can get you a lot of HP in any country.

-A mild forced induction on the LSX block can net easily get you 800hp.
-L76 or a Victor Jr intake will work among others.
-LSX/LS7 engine comes in the C6 Z06 Corvette. It's a 7.0L engine. They are also putting it in the 2009 cadillac CTS-V.
Happy building!

I believe the LSX Bowtie and LS7 are two differant animals, sure you can make the LSX into a 427 but it is not the same block, they took some of the good stuff off the LS7 and added more good stuff,

Page 50 on an article called "The Hot list". I wasn't aware that the LSX and LS7 were different blocks until Mark told me so they are putting the LS7 into the Caddy CTS-V according to the article.
PS I'll see if I can find it online somewhere
