I think I would get atleast a 60-1 turbo. The 60-1 is good for 550-600 hp but most t04b turbos are only good for 450-500 hp and thats at the flywheel.

It depends on which to4b you are speaking of. One would be too small for 350 CI. Pressure ratios would be high and you would be blowin a lot of hot air trying to make over 450hp.

is it really that much harder to get twin turbos?- if i could i would like to just run the turbos inbetween the y-pipe and headers... is this possible? (so i dont have the extra cost of manifolds)

You will probably have to use two of those. If space allows what you described is probably the easiest way to custom-fab a turbo system. Use the stock manifolds and fabricate adapters to connect your turbos to the manifolds. Which T04B(s) are you planning on using? There are many trims of this turbo (T04B trims S-3/H-3/V-1/V-2 and so on). It would probably be even easier to merge the y into a T4 flange under the passenger floorboard and use a larger single turbo. Most people use twins on smaller cube motors, that are 280ci or less, where lag is a concern when using a single turbo or where a single turbo cannot span the engines operating range (compound turbocharging works best here).
