I think it is a great idea. Do you think you might still get air on the line if the main fuel tank bung becomes un covered or would there be enough in the sub tank to stop this from hapining

Ya i dont want that. does the higher flow inline pump possibly starve the in tank pump too?

That's the idea, I think I read somewhere that a 500 HP engine uses about a gallon per minute. A quart should supply it for about 15 seconds, if you are going full throttle in reverse, or somehow using full power and braking while going forward(?).
If you are braking with your foot off of the gas, a quart will be plenty.

Mabe there is a way to put a baffel or a sump were the fitting is going to be. I know im not going to be doing any full throttle blasts in reverse, but that could be alot of fun lol
