Default FNG with front mount questions

New guy here. I've been lurking about for a while, but just recently joined in order to further my quest for insanity.

So, to start off. It's my understanding that LS3 exhaust manifolds will work on any LS motor. Has anyone tried using LS3 manifolds flipped around on a truck for a front mount turbo application? I have a 6.0, but I'm putting it in a '85 chevrolet truck. It's gonna be race only, but I'm not trying to set any records, just a toy to beat on on the weekends.

I tried the search function, but got no difinitive answers. Anyone?

Really?....Nobody?....

Hey guys. I'm sorry if for some reason I'm going against the grain here, and maybe not fitting in. You guys are the "test mules" for all of us followers ( lurkers). I don't expect to get any "black magic" recipes from any of you guys, but I'd sure like a little input, whether it be good or bad of my question and future plans......anyone????

Most people just stick with the 4.8/5.3/6.0 manifolds.

All the LSx exhaust manifolds are interchangeable.

Go to LS1truck.com and do some searching in the LSX truck conversions section. You should be able to find a turbo build for your body style.

Thanks for the replies guys. The LS3 manifolds appear to have the exhaust outlet flange a little closer to the block. With the 6.0 manifolds I have, the outlet flange tends to stick "out" away from the block, and right into my frame ( while facing forward). I hope what I just described makes sense. Thanks again.

Have you tried flipping the 6.0 manifolds so the outlets are pointing upwards?
