Which flexplate for the high HP 80e guys?

I have the Circle-D sfi flywheel. Chris had a good deal on it when I had my converter restalled. The Yank sfi flywheel was cost effective also.

I don't think there was anything wrong with the TCI other than a trans builder recommending the Meziere after the trans failed.

I need to pull the trigger on this today... anyone have a part number for me on the TCI?

GM LS1 168-Tooth Internal Balance Flexplate - TCI® Auto

Is that one it?

For 4L80E applications, use P/N 399754. That's the one that will have the crank spacer and 6 converter bolts.

depends on what tq converter you will be using. im gonna use the Circle D converter for my 4l80 that uses factory flex plate so in a case like that have to order stock flex plate

if you are using 4l80 converter then you want 4l80 flex

I use the TCI one as well. The converters I have used in the past have a muli-fit front cover (has 3 different bolt patterns on it), so the 60e plate works fine.

Does shedding weight on a flex plate actually result in quicker revving like a lighter flywheel? Just curious, never swapped flex plates before but have had cars in the past that I put lighter flywheels in and loved the result.
