First Magnuson TVS2650 on a truck
I haven’t posted on here in quite a while. It’s been about a year and a half since I blew the driveshaft apart at about 120mph at the drag strip. Obviously it did a lot of damage and I’m not gonna lie, it kind of scared me. So I decided I needed to add some safety stuff instead of just go fast stuff.
I did a cage, race seats and 5 point harness along with a bunch of other stuff. In the mean time of rebuilding the entire truck my boss suggested we use my truck to R&D the new 2650 on it. Well after a long year here it is.. Really it wasn’t very difficult to make it work.
I will post more if you guys are interested, I just wanted to show you guys the very first one so far.
This thing is amazing.

The first trip out was in Vegas this last weekend at LSFEST West. It was making 16psi up there.
The engine is a 406 LQ4 block 9.0:1 compression. 823 LS3 ported heads with a mild cam on E85. 4L80 with a Yank PT 3000 single disk.

The truck ran great for its first time out since the rebuild. Not 100% sure about power numbers, never really got to put it on the chassis dyno. The engine made 1053hp and 932 ft lbs on 19psi. This run was on 16psi because of altitude and with a 5200DA that day.
On the second day of racing,I blew up the differential on the first pass. So this is the best run for now.
Once I get the differential figured out I really think this thing will go quite a bit faster.
