smokeshow 03-07-2010 09:59 AM

Probably making like 6 lb of boost. I only drove it for about an hour last night, I still have a lot of testing to do :)

quez82 03-07-2010 11:08 AM

You happy with it?

SuperchargedSS 03-07-2010 11:30 AM

I'd bet your more around the 8-9psi. Back when I had the TVS on my truck, the 3.3 pulley on my 5.7 made 7psi...

duckhunter1999 03-07-2010 05:11 PM

How about a couple pictures!

Haha all right! Give me a day or two, it's rainy and nasty here; then I will take some pictures. I did get a couple quick videos, I'll post them up in a little while.

01 BERGER CAMARO SS 03-07-2010 07:01 PM

congrats on the install, mine gets here turesday. How did u go about the 2 parts needed from the dealer? i bought the sensor but have yet to get the harness. I sis order a magnavolt..lol...thanks for any info..

Atomic 03-07-2010 07:02 PM

Doing a rough calculation, a 3.3" pulley on a tvs1900 on a 5.3 will put out 8.9lbs of boost. You're up to 11.3lbs with a 3" pulley

smokeshow 03-07-2010 07:05 PM

If you are installing on an NNBS, you do not need a magnavolt or new fuel pump. The TMAP sensor they recommend will work, but your ECM needs to be tuned specifically for it. Otherwise the stock sensor will work; you'll just need to put a couple o-rings on it to get it snug in the bore.

01 BERGER CAMARO SS 03-07-2010 07:35 PM

yea, i ordered the magnavolt just incase i deside to up the boost. Its not needed for the current setup. I got the sensor from my local deal but they have no idea how long it would take to get the harness. Were u able to locate yours?

smokeshow 03-07-2010 09:07 PM

I bought mine from gm parts house...

skipperdaddy 03-07-2010 09:33 PM

i know they say the boost a pump is recomended, but i have a brand new walbro 255... that should suffice right?

smokeshow 03-07-2010 09:38 PM

On the 09 GMC thats in your sig?

skipperdaddy 03-07-2010 10:31 PM

yep...

smokeshow 03-08-2010 06:04 AM

You don't need a new fuel pump.

skipperdaddy 03-08-2010 07:29 AM

well, since they recommend a boost a pump, really thinkin bout gettin one of these.... so you lovin it hunh? like a whole new truck?... lol, kinda stuck between this or a front mount... price has me leaning this way...

Caught some traction so it decided to shift back to 1st lol

Overall, there's very little whine. Unless you know what to listen for, you can't hear any whine at all. Only whines under load when WOT at 50mph+, very sleeper-like.

quez82 03-08-2010 09:32 AM

that's with no tune?

smokeshow 03-08-2010 09:34 AM

No it's tuned. Read through my sig...

duckhunter1999 03-08-2010 09:44 AM

Man that is freaking sweet! Can't wait to get mine installed. If all goes well I'll have mine done my next Sunday!

duckhunter1999 03-08-2010 09:50 AM

What's the light that keeps coming on in the video?

smokeshow 03-08-2010 09:54 AM

ABS. It panics whenever the tires break loose. It did that before the SC was installed too...haven't really paid much attention to it. It goes away the next time I start the truck.

duckhunter1999 03-08-2010 09:57 AM

I see, I guess I've never had that problem, my truck's somewhat of a dog with the 35's I have!

smokeshow 03-08-2010 09:59 AM

Hah yeah any unprecedented spin of the wheel and it has no idea what's going on. No big deal though. If it starts to annoy me maybe I'll find a way to get rid of it.

Spoolin 03-08-2010 10:11 AM

Why did you go with the Roush instead of the maggie TVS? There all the same just curious... congrats on your new found power!!
