Fans, a harness and tune. Or fans, a radiator, a harness, and a tune if you want 05 fans.

He will also need to get the bigger radiator if he wants to run the stock truck fans.

Some other options: e-fans off an ls1 Camaro or Trick performance has an e-fan setup that drops right into the factory location and bolts up with the existing hardware. Trick's kit is more expensive but is definitely a cleaner looking install because the ls1 fans aren't a perfect fit. Trick also has different performance levels of fans that you can choose from. I went with the 1274 cfm fans because I was planning on trying to cram a bigger transmission cooler and an intercooler in front of the radiator.

Trick's fans before I installed them

You have plenty of options. You can swap to the OEM 34" Radiator & Fans from 05+ trucks. If you want to keep your 28" radiator, use the Flex-a-Lite 292, Trick Performance fans, or OEM LS1 or LT1 Fans.

Nelson makes a harness to work with all of these, and then they will just need to be activated in the tune.
