This thing just keeps feeling stronger and stronger. Best part is that around town driving is the same as stock.

I've got an 05 ssr that I put 4.10's in. It likes them alot better. I think it takes advantage of the high winding LS2 much better, and with 6 gears it still can knock down 30 mpg @ 65 mph, and hits the speed limiter @ 125 in 3rd without a problem.

Keep posting on your times and such with the sc. If I decide to keep this thing, I may follow suit.

My 01 C3 with the 625hp turbo does'nt get near the mpg, and is'nt quite as fun to drive, but it's paid for, so I'm trying to decide which vehicle has to go?

01C3? 05SSR? 67BBC camaro? 69rs/ss camaro? So many choices.

The weight of the SSR is 4700 pounds, a heavy weight for its size.

I don't know, considering the Mercedes SL500 is about 4100 lbs, that seems about right, considering the SSR is bigger.

They did alot of reinforcing to make up for the retractable top. ASC did a concept with a carbon fiber hood, fixed top and bed cover and were able to trim 1000 pounds off. The retractable top adds alot of weight it is all done with hydraulics and a computer, it probably weighs 500 pounds alone.

Right, which is why I compared it to the SL500, because the Mercedes has the same deal. One good thing is, with the extra weight, it does stick to the road a little better.
