Default Drop in Fuel Pump Module 99-03 Return Style

I found a Racetronix fuel pump module assembly for 99-03 trucks with a Walbro 255 already installed. It should be a plug and play deal and not have any issues with 1/4 or 1/2 tank of fuel. I sent an email to Racetronix with my VIN to verify it is the correct assembly. Anybody else have experience with these units?

You had better double check that because I found the same deal from him but he could not verify it and it says it is a high performance unit!

I believe the 04's have a different fuel system and bucket assembly. The 255's drop right into the 04-07 buckets.

I put one of those into our obs 99 chevy tahoe and it is working well. My gf takes it down to empty all the time

I found out that the bucket is basically like a modified stock bucket with a hole in the bottom and the sock going through it. So I don't know if there is any advantage to the racetronix vs stock one. I think you would still want to keep at least 1/4 tank if you go WOT.

Glad to hear it works well. I think the advanatge is that the jet pump will keep the bucket full. If you drill a hole in the factory bucket, I dont think it will remain full unless you have enough fuel in the tank to keep it full.
