Default Do trucks equipped with 5.3's come with a 2 bar map?

Hey guys, I was wondering if trucks that are equipped with a 5.3 come with a 2 bar map? I recently bought a 5.3 from a junkyard for a project and I noticed the map sensor on the trucks manifold is the same one as my cobalts ss map sensor. Does that mean the motor already has a 2 bar on it?

Any help will be appreciated!

I'm pretty sure they aren't 2-bar. I know the 1 & 2 bar look the same, but are different internally.

As mentioned they look the same, but if you check the PN on the sensor they are different.

According to the part number its a 2 bar, does that mean the motor I bought from the junkyard had some mods to it?

Thats odd, I dont know the part # at the moment. I have one on my truck but I am not home. Almost makes me wonder if the motor used to be FI?

Sorry man, but the both of the ones you have are 1 bar... Here is a pic of a stock 1 bar on the left and the Ion Redline 2 bar that is what everyone uses for 2 bar direct replacement.

BTW, the 2 bar MAP PN 12580698 is now superseded with 12615136 according to gmpartsdirect.com
