You made 369hp but how you doing on torque? Sounds like you got the hp but not enough torque to get them rolling!

i don't know what you have invested in the blower set up but you can make some money off of it! That is a good blower for someone who wants to pump up some power in a 4.8 or 5.3 without breaking the bank and can still drive it everyday. There are many options you can choose from, but for you def a n/a or a nitrous fed ls motor sounds like it would fit well. Also an upgrade in blower will help some, a tvs1900 with a remote mounted heat exchanger would help! If you want to keep your setup just try to keep the temps down as much as possible and check the belt, it doesn't take much for it to slip when you up the boost from factory!

Unhappy

If I remember correctly it made around the same torque as hp.

I destroyed my first 5.3 on the last christmas eve. ride and after that I was dead set on a high compression NA 408. However the more I thought about it I figured it would cost too much. 6.0 core, forged RA, $2000 + set of heads, Fast intake, injectors etc. So I just got an 80,000 mile takeout 5.3, swapped my cam and springs and ARP rod bolts over. Got it tuned a couple weeks ago and took it to a run last Sat. The truck did well and nothing broke, but the power felt identical to my old Vortec 5.7.

I wonder what kind of NA Ci. it would take to excede the output of my current setup by a decent amount. I am not a huge fan of nitrous for my application bc I like to play at WOT ALOT. If it would take a big stroker, could I turn 7000 RPM often and it live long?

Once again I am considering this, but if I go through with it there would be a long down time. It was down all year last year and over half this year

Since you asked about a 5.3 with a Maggie MP112 and Trucker cam, take a look at my setup. With a stock rotating assy and stock heads, and a 3.0 pulley, I'm making 10-11 psi and gobs of torque. I've posted some vids in the drag racing section if you wanna check them out. My truck is 4x4, and heavy, and just ran a 12.6. I know your drivetrain setup is completely different, but just trying to give you some ideas to compare to.

Here's another vid. The truck in the right lane has a "built" 5.7 liter.

WHat did you have done to a vortec motor to make it put out the same power as a cammed and blown 5.3? THat makes no sense what so ever.

I agree... pulley down! I went from a 3.7 to a 3.1 on my 1900 and I feel invincible now. I have a 2.8 pulley for your 112 if you want it. It's brand new. I got it when I ordered my 112 but got a 1900 instead.

Like others have suggested Brint. E85 is the **** and will solve the high IATs. You will probably need larger injectors since e85 requires about 30% more fuel. That and a smaller pulley will really wake it up. Don't give up on this combo yet. You have a great foundation. You just need to get your combo right and all the bugs worked out. Your hobby is just like drag racing, just takes a little time and effort to get things working right.
