daily driver with a Maggie

I daily drive mine too, make more power than 'most' 6L guys around here too
have 30K+ miles with Magnuson brand superchargers. Stock they'll make a huge difference, come with a drivetrain warranty. Modified (tuning, exhaust, etc) you'll have to hold on with both hands.
I don't think of the 5.3 as challenged

I love my daily driver 5.3. The power and performance is insane (better than I ever expected!). Also when I'm not boosting and just cruising, my highway and street gas mileage is actually better than before the maggie.

Right now im REALLY REALLY contemplating one. I've emailed BB a couple times talking about them. Im just not sure if i want to do it now or after i get back from Afghanistan (suppose to leave between Feb and Apr)

Well I say, if it's possible, that you do it now. That way you'll have something to really look forward to when you get back from Afghanistan!
So which kit were you planning to go with? I would definitely recommend the TVS1900. I'm lovin mine, which I think puts out some great numbers and performance with only basic bolt ons.

Mine's not a daily driver but I've put 40k+ miles on my truck since the MP112 Magnacharger went on it. The instantaneous throttle response is mucho fun!
Definitely do a shift kit and at least a Vette servo, along with a tranny cooler. There was no difference in mileage from stock to Maggie, except when I put my foot in it. The power is addictive; I've slowly kept adding things after I got used to the new power. I added a Yank TT2600 and built the tranny and am getting ready to add a cam, springs, hardened pushrods, and a 3.25" pulley. I think I'm done then (famous last words!) .

DD maggies are all good. I've had an mp112 on a 5.3L and also on a 6.0L. Both in the reg cab stepside in my sig. The 112 won't quite do the trick on a 6.0. Switched to a 122 shortly after the 5.3 to 6.0swap. IMHO, the 112 fits the 5.3 and the 122 is at home on the 6.0.
Just finished a 400 mile trip in the truck in my sig. Avereaged over 16 with cruise set at 75 to 80 for the whole trip. That's with a 4L80 tranny and 3.73 gears. It's about 500rwhp.
This truck actually works for a living. Towing, dirt roads, tough duty. It always answers the call. After 45K blown miles on this truck, I won't have a truck without a maggie. Driving an N/A truck feels like you're pulling a parachute around. Not much downside to it that I can see.
