Custom drive shafts

Awesome numbers. I was typing signature in the previous post....auto correct. And that's extremely low temps. I was just hoping to stay stock temps while beating on it. I was think about keeping the clutch fan and adding an electric in front. I think I read some where the 2500s had bigger radiators than the half ton. Would you know if that's true?

Stock hd have a 34 inch radiator, the clutch fans do work very well. When stopped tho I needed something more. I did a set of ffd high cfm fans. They pull about 1500 cfm more than stock silverado fans. They have a full aluminum shroud that fits the 34 inch radiator perfect. With using a pcm of NC harness and the pcm to operate them. I can keep the temp down to basically whatever I need. Right now I have the 194 Stat in and temps don't leave 204 when beat on.
For a rear shaft I had a 4 inch heavy wall tube done with 1410 joints and balanced to almost perfect. I have no vibes up to about 100mph. I have never pushed it more to know.

What were temps climbing to at idle flatblack? I honestly don't do a lot of stop and go. Lots of highway driving. And I was think of just adding the electric fan because I had one from a mustang I had. Just one 16 or 19 inch. It may not do any good though idk. I could just add it on a toggle switch for when I'm at lights. Seems like that would help.

Wasn't anything to really be worried about, 218 was the highest. I don't care for temps that high ever, that was towing my 8k trailer in traffic at 90 degrees. Hotter engine temps make trans temps hotter too. To most 218 is not really bad at all, the high speed factory fans come on pretty high. I like to keep mine at most 206, I was going to go to a 160 Stat and have my fans keep it at 180 but I messed up and bought a 40k tru cool without the bypass so during winter that will make my trans too cold. In 30 degree weather here my trans is lucky it breaks 100 degrees.

Ive saw way to many driveshafts fail souly based on driveline angle being off
To many will lower truck and not correct pinion angle or to many raise them up and not adjust it
Ive been 150+ on dyno with my truck spinning 35s with stock aluminum driveshaft when had 342 gears
Still have same aluminum driveshaft with 488s anf have been 130mph on street
Original driveshaft with 80k miles on it
Make sure driveline angles are good

Me too, George c. My stock aluminum 72 " Long one piece driveshaft has been over 150mph on the dyno with 33" tall tires making mid 700s numerous times . Though I did blow out tire out on the dyno , scary as hell.

I know its kinda slightly off topic, but is there anywhere to buy a "built" driveshaft that isnt goin to cost $600+??? My stock shaft is a bit too short with the lift on my truck....
