Couldn't help myself

I posted in the GM Engine section, but the post is jacked up or something.
Anyway the pic isn't the actual s/c, but you get the idea. Bought a silver I/C from a fellow member. Hoping it will get here by Monday. Gonna go ahead and do a head and cam swap while I'm at it. Gotta get all of the little pain in the *** crap for the swap/install together so it'll prolly be Labor Day time frame for the install.

What about your LS6 intake? And what are the new cam specs?

Looks like I won't be needing the intake anymore, so it'll go up in the classifieds along with the injectors and non-return fuel rail.
Cam will probably look something like the CheaTR or TR Blower, but with a touch less Exh duration. 214/224 .600/.600 116LSA XE/XFI lobes. There have been many peeps who have had great success with the LPE GT2-3, but I wanted to try something a little different.

thank ya trever1t.
Trever1t I have a set of untouched 243s that I would like to use.
FI is something I have never done and am wandering what would be better...I initially planned to bring the chamber down to what the 5.3 is (61.xx) and use a .040 head gasket to improve the quench a bit. This would bring the CR to ~9.2:1. Should I keep a slightly larger chamber, still using the .040 head gasket, say in the 62-63cc area? This would bring the CR back down to something like 9.0:1. Which would be better?
I talked with TR yesterday about cam selection and will probably go with the TR-Blower cam 214/230 .601/.579 +1 117LSA, ditch the TCI-SF and go back to the TB verter. Would this cam + larger chamber=good combo?
What heads and how low are you taking the CR?
Did you mill the 243s yet? That 65cc chamber would do nicely now.
