Conventional vs Synthetic Oil for Turbocharged
#11
I'm going to redo my hot parts soon. So when I get back to being boosted I think I'm just going to run conventional oil, allow more time for cool downs, and change it pretty frequent. Seems to be working for some here and others that I have talked to.
Thanks for all the input.

I know this is tough to keep up with, but there's wisdom in changing the oil based on amount of fuel burned vs miles traveled. With computer controls, it shouldn't be that difficult. I try to do that with some of my stuff. Heavily loaded rigs get more frequent changes etc. It doesn't matter how much the motor is capable of making....maters more how much of that power is actually used.

the best oil out right now is the Klotz oil, i run it up to 1300-1400hp out of my motor and it looks great, cant run it with cats on the vehicle because it has such high zinc and phosphorous. but i got 50 passes on my car and it looks brand new, its red out of the bottle and when it gets dark you change it, usually once a season.
