Default Code 0315

After the Nelson tune, I got code 315 from a check engine light.. I had Autozone pull the code, bu they dont have the brainpower to erase it.. Is it the crankshaft position fault code? Will it clear itself after a few key cycles?

Cool

You will need to take it to someone with the appropriate software to do the crank relearn procedure. The dealer can perform this operation with the Tech 2 or you can phone around and see who else may be able to do it. I guess it only takes 5 minutes or so to do.

I dont get it, do they need to reprogram something or is it just a code that can be erased? We have a MODIS Snap-On scanner at my work, will it be able to get rid of the code or is it better left to the dealer.. I would rather avoid the dealer since they would probably charge me an hour labor for a 5 minute fix..

Cool

Did you get the crank relearn figured out?

I am not sure if the Snap-On scanner can do the crank learn or not. I have heard that it can and cannot? Maybe it depends on the options you buy with the scanner. Check it out as it sounds like a fairly easy thing to do if it has the capability.

Yea, I went to the dealership, sweet talked them, and they did it for free.. It was definatlely something I would not have been able to do with the MODIS- only something that can be done with the Tech 2..
