What gears are you guys runnin and what should I with my set up?
I have the stock 3.42's now. Thought I saw 3.73's were best but tried some searchin and couldnt find. Im gonna have a detroit trutrac put in so I figured I might as well upgrade the gears. This truck is still my daily though so keep in mind.

you could go with 3.73's for decent cruise rpm if you plan on running a higher stall converter, i'd reccommend that before anything.. something around a 3000 with a 4.8. Otherwise you better gear up higher than that like 4.11's etc.. I had the 4.8 with the vortech. Trouble with a centrifugal is they don't make boost off the line, i found mine to be a bit of a dog until it wound up. I ended up with keeping the 3.73's with true trac (awesome locker) and running a 3000 PI stall. You will have lots of low end, more than you can use, and you will be keeping your engine in the revs where the blower makes more satisfactory power.

I would go at least 3.73's. Thats what I run and as soon as I figure out what I'm doing with my chassis I'll be going at least 4.10's depending on what tire I decide to run. My centi loves rpm.
