Cam selection for LSX Turbo build

,Planning on putting 16-20 lbs of boost down

your motor WILL have massive back pressure problems if you do a front mount 76 and i dont see a 76 feeding 20psi to any 414ci motor. And if you are going to throw around that kind of money on an LSX you should do 6 bolt heads or the block would just be a waste of money over a LQ4/LQ9 block. Sounds like you are ready to throw down big money but are just going to end up with abunch of parts that dont work well with eachother

I would do a 402/408 with o-ringed block and heads with thick deck heads and a 91mm or bigger turbo. A 20k budget won't get you far with a lsx block. If you are buying a complete short block I would call virginia speed. Shawn there is a genius. Once you hit the 1000hp mark things get real expensive.
Why do you want close to 1000whp? For bragging right or is there a certain et that you need that power to reach it?

Yea I'm trying to get into the 9's....And The LSX block, machine work, callies crank, rods, pistons, complete short block with custom ground cam, springs, lifters is only 7 grand,I've gotta set of new LS3 heads that I can use,But was considering those LSX-LS3 Heads (2 grand) from Chevrolet for better clamping for the hi boost,Thought I'd run this 70mm garrett on a t4 flange that I have as well for now and then upgrade in the future...
