Need help with choosing the correct cam for my supercharged application, Truck is a 04 Dodge ram HEMI Rc/SB 2wd 5.7 Forged engine low compression pistons, paxton 1200, CNC ported heads with oversized valves 2.055In and 1.60EX, using the plastic truck intake manifold for now but have a Mopar performance aluminum manifold thats waiting on fuel rails, I also have snow performance water/meth ki, ATI 5% OD, Electric fan and Longtubes without cats, 2800stall converter and 392 gears with all that said what would be a good cam selection for this build? I want to optimize performance and have a nice sound as well.

 

Does "nice sound" imply lumpy idle, like a big cam gives? I'll be the first to break your heart and let you know that a lumpy idle and forced induction don't work well together on the street.

 

Agree with above. Do you want to "sound" good or optimize for performance? For a f/i rig in a heavy assed truck, the two don't really coexist too well.
