Default Building boost @ the tree

I have now installed the turbo blanket and hydroboost and still can barely get a .5 lb of boost by power braking. It is better , as it would only get -.3 on my digital boost gauge before. Maybe my back brakes are glazed and crystalized from years of burnouts? By the way, hydroboost is great

Will the boost go higher at the track with the stickies on?

Has anyone tried a two step on a small 2200 stall?

What timing should I be running at 2k to 3k rpm to build boost?

PM if needed. I need help!

We shall see tomorrow night. I think I should deglaze my pads and turn my rotors and see if that helps too.

Yea i bet that would help, you make sure to put you a good non-directional finish on em too!

What rpm are you able to stall the truck up to?

Slightly off topic, but what high pressure hose did you use for your hydroboost conversion(2wd truck, right?)?

Looser converter will take care of it.

do like my wife does, she grabs the bottom of the steering wheel and presses the brake as hard as she can. i can build about 7-8psi at the line with my 20's but i have a yank billet 3200. its very tight but as boost rolls in it climbs right to 3200. not sure if it helps or not but my timing in that area is rather low, 4-6* if that.

it probably helps that its AWD and has factory hydroboost and weighs 6020 with me in it.

I can only stall to 2200 or so on the street.

I got the whole setup off a 04 yukon, everything swapped right over with a lil grinding up top of firewall and repositioning one of the bolts.

Why are you not talking about coming to the truck shootout in November?

I can build about 8.5 psi on the foot brake. I'm sure my 3500 stall, 33" slicks and 3.30 gears are helping me. I have a set of 4.56 gears on the way so I'm not sure if ill be able hit 8 psi on the foot brake. I'll be happy with 5 psi and a 1.6 sixty foot.
