I got it most of the way installed today, but ran into a big snag. I took the oil pan off, because ever since I put the motor in, it has leaked about half a quart, around the front passenger side of the pan. I always thought the gasket got pinched, but the pan is cracked down to about an inch from the top. I called everywhere, and could not find one, so it will probably be monday/tuesday before it's done.

How much is a new pan? I'm guessin you're just replacing w/. a stock GM truck pan?

Yes it probably can, but it was 2pm on a saturday and everything closes at 12 around here. I killed more than an hour with the phone book in front of me, calling every junk yard, and weld shop in town.

It stinks when u live in small town USA, OH or when anyone does, & u reach that point where it's 5:01 PM on a Fri. & you (or anyone) needs a part or an answer to a nagging question. When someone on the opposite end picks up after 5PM, it makes it a little more bearable.
Otherwise, a person is dead in the water til Mon. A project that gets no further when it's started as a weekend project (as many of us do) or that's the only time we have to do it, can then grow into multiple days or weekends, tying up truck & garage.

The more I think about it I might just get it welded up. I know it would be cheaper, and would fix my problem just the same as buying a $100+ new oil pan.
All I need now is a piece of exhaust pipe for temporary with a ball+socket joint on one end, and flared on the other, until my cut out gets here. Also a couple of taps for oil feed and drain lines, then I will be able to load the tune and do some logging. I can't wait, it's going to be a beast.
